About Damon Buxton

Damon Buxton is an instrumental acoustic guitarist and composer working in the tradition of the Windham Hill artists. He uses silent spaces, open tunings, natural reverb, and double picking to create a sparse and resonant sound. Picking up the guitar at age twenty-one, he taught himself to play and, in the process, developed the soulful fingerpicking style that remains his trademark.

Since 2006 he has had a recording collaboration with Will Ackerman, Grammy® award-winning founder of Windham Hill Records, and Corin Nelsen, the Grammy® award-winning engineer responsible for so many of the intimate recordings the label was known for.

Damon Buxton is founder of Instrumental Music record label Many Miles Music.

Damon's latest recording ROTATION OF EARTH was released in April 2010.
